Nice driving. I don't think I will ever get sick of hearing an uncorked VH bouncing off the rev limiter.

I bet it sounds even nicer after the vortec. I wish we had some fun events like this in Idaho. closest I'll ever get to a drift event is.......... nothing.

Thank you for the video Jerry!!!!! Your car sounds so ridiculous and you're a crazy good driver. I watched the first videos you posted again and I think you were the only one to execute that last corner cleanly. Please post up any more videos you have!

PS....I hope you have a tire sponsor or get one very soon.

Man that is one of the best sounding engines I have ever heard!Everyone at my local car club says to swap in a LSx in instead of the VH, but I say if i wanted a LSx then i would just buy a trans am (and be like every other high school kid) or corvette.Way to keep it in the Nissan family!

I was just giving him positive feedback. And whats the difference between me being a fan of Nissan and a nissan motor and you being a fan of a specific sports team?

What I mean is that we don't need needless bashing of other engines. You can't deny that the LS is a great engine but you can say the same for the VH.

I honestly wasn't trying to bash the LS. I understand that both engines have their pros and con, I was just expressing my opinion on why people should do the VH swap over the LS.Sry for any confusion.

Got to do a drift demo this weekend at homestead speedway for the fans during the intermission of the last regional roadrace.

My first time sliding on a real track, what an experience, the car ran great, 3rd gear high speed sliding was awesome, and easy with the VH45 lol. However i have to say this is the first time i have ever experienced understeer in this car, after about 40 minutes of back to back runs aparently the front tires overheated and started to lose grip, it was still quite manageable but it was there.

Having said that, the front 265 rs2s have been heat cycled quite a few times over the last two months, they still have half tread, so i may throw a new set again when i go out there next.

This was the last drift event of the year, so nothing more until next year, it was a good year, and the i have to thank god, the car ran beautifully the whole year with ZERO problems, Its a beautiful thing when everything goes as planned.

Cheers and merry XMAS.

Anyway on to the videos this is what my wife got from the stands, she could only see half the course.

My first solo run

i went down to 275/35/18 for homestead because i was worried 315s would be to wide for that track.

Thanks, i will be adding more boost next year probably around 10-12 psi total. Not because i need it lol, just to see what it would do.

I use nistune.

What offset are your wheels.

245/17 are not enough, even with a sticky tire. I'm running a +8 offset right now. Just starting to shop for wheels. I really don't wan to run a fender flare on the rear but I think it will be required.

are you going to run bigger injectors, or did I misread something and see you're already running 555's? Seems like you've gotta be getting close to maxing out the stockers.

The fronts are

18 by 10 + 18 265/35/18

rears

18 by 11 +18

street tire/some drift 315/30/18most of the time drift 275/35/18

Lol make no mistake the stock injectors are pretty much maxed 99 (percent duty cycle), come january ill be using 750cc injectors to give me plenty of headroom.

Supercharged or not, wouldn't the heads still make a big difference in the performance/efficency? IMO, I don't see how it would not. I know you can always add more boost, but that takes power. Airflow is key right?

That all depends on how hard the blower is working. If it isn't taxing it to run the boost he is at adding more flow to the heads wont make a huge difference.

well that the thing, i think the blower is definitly spinning hard, to get 6 psi im spinning the blower at 7000rpm engine speed, 40950rpm at the blower and thats with a 4inch blower pulley. The max for the v2 s trim is 50000rpm. When i had the 3.6 inch blower pulley i had about 11-12 psi at 45000rpm, so its getting close to the redline.

Logic would lead me to assume if i put the heads and cams it would increase the volumetric effeciency of the motor which would mean the blower would have to spin even harder to get boost up, i guess in the case of making some big power i would need a larger trim blower.
