UPS brought me a nice little present for my 280 today. A set of Datsun aluminum swastica style wheels Will look much nicer than the factory hubcaps that are on it. And with them being original Datsun wheels they'll flow well with the restoration. Just need to find some of the goofy lug nuts for the datsun alloys on the 280's to get them on the car.

They're not flawless but for 25 year old wheels that haven't been refinished they're in pretty damn good condition. I figure if I run some polishing wheels over them and clean them up they'll compliment the car very very nicely.

A little bit of dish for old school wheels

it's getting harder to get a decent set of swastica's without breaking the bank those look great! as for the lug nuts you need "mag shank" lug nuts 12 x 1.25mm with the shortest shank you can find and also you'll need wheel washers to fit the lug nuts, autozone has them behind the counter

Thanks I was going to go with some Wat's for the s30 but the more I thought about it the more I want the car to be original and rock datsun/nissan parts not aftermarket stuff. So with the swastica wheels being as hot as they are and the fact that I've always liked them, they were by far the best route to go. The set I got is pretty clean too

Thanks for the info on the lugs, I'm actually heading up to autozone to get them now. I called and the guy said he's pretty sure they have them in stock.

I really love those wheels with a brightly painted grooves and high shine polish job. I've seen them on tons of different Nissans and they always compliment the cars.

$2000 for a set of really good rims is not overpriced.

yes it it! I paid $1300 for a set of custom made to my spec's adn they only weigh 9lbs, I almost dropped a nut paying for them but they were custome made to my specs and they are a true 3 piece modular so they can be changed or repaired

th only real advantage to the "Wantabe's" over the european minilites, or the australian superlites or the american panasports is they come in wider widths

yes swastica's is what that style wheel is commonly called, they came on 82-83 280ZX Turbo in a 15" diameter and a 14" on the N/A models, there is another OE style referred to as the "iron cross", and just about evey manufacturer has a model of wheel refered to as the"snowflake" but no 2 of them are alike
