Some minor quibbles on my recent (late) M37

It's rainy and cold and I'm bored, so shoot me.

I recently bought and took back an 2013 M37X, and in addition to "too many to list" upgrades over my 2006 there were several that were just inexplicably worse. The most obvious was the back up camera. Has anyone else noticed it kinda sucks? I mean compared to the 2006. The older one is much clearer and brighter. The one in the 2013 looked like my brother's Nissan Rogue. It's competely functional, but definitely a step down. It looked the same in a recent dealer loaner Q50t.

Another was the cup holders. (I did say minor) The older one had "steps" in it to hold different sized cups, plus it was a removable insert so you could fit even larger cups. The new one did away with all that as well as moved it closer to the arm rest so any large cups are jammed into the holder and pushing up against the rest. Why change things that worked fine?

The last I didn't notice until I read about it here - the inerior lighting was very dim. I didn't do a side-by-side comparison with my old car but I don't recall it being that dim. There aren't any spring chickens buying these cars - we need light!

You can tell how much I liked the car given these are the things I have to complain about. The backup camera did bother me though.

Seems Infiniti decided to change and even drop completely lots of great features when it launched the new body styled M37/M56 generation. Adjustable front head rests, dual sun visors, rear seat theater with reclining seats, and many other changes. If you do a search, you can read it.

Yep....because there are cars that are thousands less that have features that we believe should be in the M37/Q70
