I was in work yesterday, keys in pocket, rainstorm outside. A co-worker came in to tell me that my trunk and windows are open. The open button on the remote is way too easy to press accidently.

The day/night sensor does not have enough delay. It switches to night when you go under bridges or thick trees.

My tire pressure warning light is on. All tires are at 30 PSI. Is there a way to manually reset it?

Other then that - love the car. (First week)

Ouch, sorry to hear about the windows going down

The headlight sensor can be adjusted, look under Comfort/Convenience I think. Check the manual to be sure.

And the manual should also tell you how to reset the TPMS sensors.

[EDIT] This might sound far-fetched, but do you happen to have your windows tinted? There seem to be reports of metallic tinting interfering with the TPMS operating properly.

[EDIT #2] Looks like you have to go to the dealer to get the TPMS reset.

Yes, you can change the auto headlight delay. It's in the manual.

Speaking of minor annoyances, and it truly is minor, for everything Infiniti did RIGHT with this car, why do they not provide a cover plate for the Compact Flash slot when the slot is populated with a CF card? It takes a totally awesome and refined cockpit and makes it look unfinished IMO. Certainly has no impact on functionality or driveability, just a pet peeve.

They should have gone with an SD slot instead of the CF.

That being said, I have my entire CD collection on a new iPod Classic just for the car

I wonder why Infiniti decided to go with a CF card slot instead of the more common SD card slot. Is there a difference between those two in terms of playing/adding music?

We could probably argue all day over which form factor is preferable. Personally, I prefer CF to SD, but that is not the point of my post. Regardless of whether it was SD or CF, point remains, it looks tacky and unfinished without a means to cover the opening, almost looks like something is broken. You'd have the same problem with an SD card if it were located where Infiniti has located the CF slot, albeit a smaller opening to have to conceal. They could have placed the interface inside the center console or glove box, either of which would have been preferable. It comes down to design and aesthitics, and this is one part of the design somebody didn't think through all the way. Like I said, they did so much right that it's hard to believe they overlooked such a simple and small detail.

most of my complaints have to do with locations of things:

1. IPod connector could have easily been in the glovebox, as well as a slot for the CF/SD card.

2. Is it just me or is the location of the up/down window buttons placed in a weird location?

3. Coins holder... how about a cheapy spring loaded compartment?

4. While scrolling through stations on XM, it would have been nice to see ahead 5 stations... (not just the current one).

5. Midrange adjustment for the premium sound system.

6. Easy entry/exit function (I know... everyone thinks that the reason for the seat not moving back/steering wheel moving up is that it would crush the back seat passenger. How about just making the steering wheel move up? That's what you really need...

All these are minor annoyances, but can be very very easily remedied...

Or at least a cable that flexes enough to have both the iPod AND the little tray in there without seemingly forcing them to cooperate.

You'd see the previous 5-6 stations you had listened to, then as you scrolled it would dynamically update only those stations with a signal strong enough to listen to. I believe it did the same thing with satellite radio, but my car wasn't equipped as such so I can't say for sure.

This happened to me today, just the windows....and luckily no rain.

I've not used the CF yet, but I agree there really should be a cover or something when the CF is in use.

Yeah, it took a bit of finagling but I got my iPod to lay somewhat flat at the bottom of the console. The glove compartment would have been better...and that reminds me...the manual won't fit in the glove compartment!

However these are just MINOR imperfections...I still <3 my G.

Attach it to the underside of the console lid.

Well, my only little annoyance is the fact that I had an 04 G35 which had Two power ports on the front dash, you know, a cigarette lighter and and another outlet opposite the cigarette lighter, then one in the console. Well, when I hook up my radar detector, the cord runs right in front of the Nav screen. Also I had a slot on the ceiling above the door for parking tickets or invitations or what ever you wanted it to hold. Now I have a handle. Is that handle for me to hold onto during sharp turns or for me to pull myself out of the car. Hey, I love my new G37 regardless though!

Oh, as far as the Compact Flash port, Maybe we or they can come up with something to cover the card or a cover after the card is inserted. That should be a simple fix!

You mean kind of like the one behind the passenger visor on the G37?

Yea, just like that. Thanks! I don't ride on that side!

Minor, yes, but.... the front cup holders are huge. They don't snugly hold water bottles, soda cans, travel coffee cups, or even a 32 oz cup that won't squeeze into our Lexus cup holder. Anybody found a way to keep an open beverage upright?

The silver door handles are easily scratched. I wish they would have used the same "washi" material found on the other trip. I already have some big scratches on my driver's side inside door handle. Oh well...
