A quick search shows it should hold it's own, at least up to 100 :)

gah, those Ferrari numbers suck...it's like they were trying to make a family car instead of what it's supposed to be...

Nice kills. When you mash the pedal at highway speeds in the M and Q, I don't think there are that many cars on the road that could keep up. It takes off like crazy.

Check speed story here.

i'd like to see a mid-eighties family car touch that. sure a v6 accord can dust a then-cutting-edge ferrari, but is that all its about?ps- no hate to the M, love the car, tho many dont take a liking to that styling. the new one looks to be more agressive...ahhh and final rant, ferrari had bigger guns, even in the eighties. a boxer or a TR could still waste an accord. <couldnt help myself, used to have a 308GTSI>

Nice Drivers Log review on pages 10 and 11 of the M45 in the June 7 edition of Autoweek.

They got it (5 out of 6 mini reviews), and were quite impressed with what the car could do. "Polarizing" was the operative word, and no one was neutral. These cars will be more popular when they come off lease than the F50 Q45, I bet.

Wow, lol, I killed an 02 Chrysler minivan the other day!

On my way home tonight two guys in a 02 or so Mustang GT were in and out of traffic and pulled up next to me and I put them in their place! Mind you I have completely bald tires and had 2 13" rotors, two 300zx calipers, my 4 ton floor jack and 4 jack stands and about 40 pounds worth of tools(big *** pry bars and extensions and torque wrenches)I think they were a bit surprised about that one, because I sure was!

I've been telling you guys we have a Mustang GT eater. I haven't raced any new ones (2005+) yet. And everyone of them has this look on their face. I do love the sound of the GT's though.

Suprised a Mercury Marauder a few weeks ago at a stop light, he gave up as I was pulling away.

I had 2 older 5.0 LX's (87-89) pull up next to me reving their engines at a stoplight. One of them had all the gauges on the pillar, hood scoop and all that garbage. I said see ya. They beat me off the line but I soon saw puffs of smoke behind me from them shifting.

Yes, indeed. Mustangs are easy to beat with an M45!

I don't even bother anymore.

now, thats very good new.

i cant believe that i didn't have chance to race anybody. i think just ones.i saw 350z going around the rotary to the highway and me just getting on the rotary so went after him. we are doing a think around 75-80 ( i am about 30 feet back) he got the slow car in front of him so as soon as the car got out of his way he punched it so as i with a little delay. i caught up to him at about 115 and pass him around 125 130. i think he got of the gas a little due to the wide turn we were in when i was passing him. he had the gray hair got scared of the turn may be? that is why i never post my only one kill so far, but i did past him at 130.

i think racing should be kept off the streets and on the tracks. there are too many ***holes out there today endangering women and childrens life. and there is no reason for any of us to add to the problem

As I dont condone it as well, sometimes there is that open stretch of road where there is nobody else out there that could get hurt and some punk is acting like a fool. I find myself in those times pretty often.

I agree, and a quick 0-to 60 from a stop light w/ no traffic around I think is okay. I know that most of us have the common sense enough to know when not to speed, especially when there are children around, as far as women, well, they just need to get out of the way. JK! I do respect Safety Sam's opinion.

"Mercury Marauder " that is good to hear! I've been getting smack talk at work about how fast this car is over my M.

Jeff, You are starting to build up a respectable kill list here in ABQ Since the 20's are on my car I am out of the game. I'm strictly for show. I'll have to depend on you for kill stories here in town.

The Maurader is only a 15 sec car, there is no reason that we should have any problem at all. The best times I have ever seen for those is 14.8 or really close.

i agree 110%! the marauder isnt much faster than the old impala ss. some of them @ the track even with mods couldn't match my 14.48 @96 MPH! IN FACT THERE WAS AN AUTO 350Z THERE THAT WAS RUNNING A BEST OF 14.6@96MPH! THAT MADE ME VERY HAPPY

In my little redneck town I usually get Mustangs and Camaros. I've beat the last generation GT many times, best time was with this kid who had the hood scoop and all... he was in shock lol. I've only had the chance to race one z28, but have no idea which year it was. Only know the z28 was the last generation and I pulled on him. I quit racing that z28 because we came up on traffic. Reminds me of this little "sup'd" up civic that tried to race me, I just floored it to second gear then stayed at the speed limit. Of course he did the "fly by" so I floored it and got to his window and slowed down, traffic came up and he started to go in and out of traffic. Lord knows you're ignorant if you swerve threw traffic in the M!I was able to race an srt10 quad door ram, but it wasn't a long race since it was from 0-70@a dead stop. I got the jump and we got side by side for a second when I shifted late (he was pulling a little). Was rather fun and he gave me thumbs up even though he never passed me. I haven't seen him roaming the roads since I got the intake, I always notice his truck at the federal courthouse like 24/7. This race was on an dead road, no one was in front of us.

Okay, no one has posted any kills in awhile so I'll post my most recent one and ther was probably no way I should have won.

Pulling out of my subdivision Sunday night a bright yellow Audi S4 pulls up next to me. It had to be a 2007, it looked pretty new. I knew that the S4 has 340 horses and can do 0-60 in 5.3 seconds so I was just curious to see what it had. I figured an old man was driving it.

So we turn left onto the main road and he punches it, so I punched it and he was about a car lenth in front of me sinc ehe go tteh jump and I kept up. He wasn't pulling away.

The next stop light ahead turns red. There was no one on the streets. I pull up next to him and put it in manual mode. I kept VCD on. It turned green and I floored it. I swear I felt the rubber buckle . We take off and are neck and neck, I actually beat him off the line. I stayed about a nose ahead till I hit 80 and he backed off. It must have been an automatic with someone who doesn't knwo how to drive or they were just toying with me. That S4 should have smoked me. It was fun thougheven if he let me win, but it seem dliek he was trying, that engine was whining. I think he was just as curious to what my 340 HP would do.

Well i have several more kills under my belt. If there's anyone here familiar with the st.louis area, they should know about Hall St. Anywho my first kill was a Maurager with 373 gears, exhaust and reprogrammed. Beat him by a half a car. Second kill was my very own 99gt conv stang. My friend was driving the stang. So to make it fair i let him drive the M. Yeah the stang got beat. Third kill was a'98 Benz S 500, now that was just sad. 4th, 300C by a fender. 5th, R/T charger by half a fender. But the best of them all was my friend with his 02 Camero SS. He made the mistake of giving me a car and i got to leave whenever. He never gained that car length back.

I don't make it a habit of racing my M, the Stang yes but not the M. But these people were asking for it.

I will say that the best way to launch the M from my experience is to not put the car in manual and brake torque it from 1000 - 1500 rpm's

My Y34 (with 20's!!) vs. G35 aftermaket parts galoreHe pulls up on me with his girl in the car at a rolling 35mph. We both punch it ! At 75 mph he was loosing ground fast. He never knew what hit him. I let up at 115mph as he tried to keep up. At the next light I rolled my window down and immediately he began talking about "if my car were a stick shift...) yada yada yada. I laughed, chuncked the deuce and winked at his girl and mashed out when the light turned green.

I felt bad! The G35 is like my little sister with a bad attitude.

Bored at work and this topic was a great way to pass some time. Figured I would add to it.

In my limited time (bit over a month) I have racked up 2 kills. One was a 05 or so VW R32, the other was a Camero SS with exhaust and maybe more. I look forward to breaking some hearts in the car that is for sure.

On a different note, I was on the freeway the other night about 3am and there is a nice stretch of rode for about 3-4 miles with no ons or offs and its all flat so you can see for cops. I decided to see how the top end looked on her. I gunned it and at about 115 I was a bit upset to learn that the car sounded like I was nearing the end of the gear, that was until it shifted into 5th. I could not believe that in this car 5th didn't kick in until over 110mph. It was like christmas morning in my car. I was blown away. This car is by far the best mixture of sport in luxary that I have ever driven, and I have driven alot of nice cars. I love my M!!!
