I am a complete newb when it comes to HID's. I want to install 3 sets of HID's in the front. Headlight (maybe 6000K or 8000K) not sure yet i want a blue color but nothing that will get me pulled over. I want 3000K yellow fog lights and 3000K yellow high beams. I know most people are going to tell me high beams are a waster but i think it would look awesome..ok for the questions.1) What do you think of the setup?2) Can you recommend any good brands for HID kits3) Will the yelow high beams have a good output for visual

I was thinking the main problem would be it would take a while for the hibeams to heat up and turning them off and on for traffic would suck. Would this cause any kind of blowout in the bulb or harnesses. Thanks in advance for info and I love nico because I can ask "dummy" questions like this.

1. I suggest you get 5000k or 6000k. 8000k is pretty darn near blue if not already blue. And of course, HIDs for high beams are pointless. Turning HIDs on and off will drastically kill the life span of the bulbs and possibly your ballasts too. So HID high beams are a no go. Lastly I suggest you stick with yellow halogen bulbs such as Nokya if you want that JDM/Lexus yellow look. 3000k outputs a white light if stared directly at the front of the car but it outputs an ion yellow color on the ground.

2. Good quality, life time warranty, well priced: DDM/Apexconehttp://www.ddmtuning.com/hidkihidbuhi.html

3. I would say yellow fog/high beams would increase visibility in cases such as fog. http://www.danielsternlighting....html

are the HID kits easy to install. I know on our coupes you need to either remove the front bumper or go in through the front wheel wells. Whats the deal with the relay harnesses?

I am a bigger newb to hid's but I have a few questions too. http://www.ddmtuning.com/hidkihidbuhi.html the price is amazing from what I have seen. But what makes them better than other hid’s. And what Bulb Type do you choose? And when installing the hid's is there any wire cutting or use of a soldering gun? and Does the auto feature that turns on and off our lights work with this hid’s. and do the bulbs burn out faster than a normal bulb. Can I get a ticket for the bright light? Finally do you think that 55w would be too bright and dumb to get?

HID kits are easy to install. Relay harnesses for HID kits are made to draw power straight from the battery instead of your stock bulb harness. Some people just prefer that. For me, I didn't need it.

DDM's HID kits are simply plug in and play. Unlike some Xentecs, they come with the correct adapters for your OEM harness not just +/- wires. HID kits are usually all the same from China just branded differently by companies. The bulb type for our headlight/fog is H11. Most people on this forum do not have any trouble with the auto feature for our lights. HID bulbs typically last longer than regular halogen bulbs but if anything, there's always that lifetime warranty from DDM. As for getting a ticket for the glare produced by the HID kit, you may or you may not get one, it really depends on the police in your area. Lastly, stick with 35w. 55w is overkill and not worth the extra money in my opinion. 35w is already a huge upgrade from regular halogen bulbs. Most of these answers can be found using search, it's a really great tool.

I have OEM HID headlights so I won't know if you will get a problem with the auto feature if you're getting HIDs for your headlights. For fog lights, you won't need a relay harness, it should work fine without one.

I've got the ddm 35w hids, they've only misfired on me once and only one side in the 3 weeks that i've had them with the auto feature. not a big problem, if they happen to misfire then i just click them off and back on. But a relay's always a good thing to have, if you don't mind spending the money you should get one.
