How many miles on the car???

And its a vacuum, or is it excessive pressure in the crankcase.....?

Welcome to the J30 Family. Check the oil level in your crankcase. Sounds like a case of overfill from an oil change... Post back with info..

Yes, there should be suction from the dipstick receptacle when the engine is running.

JWT makes a pop charger for the J. Unfortunatly that's the most tuning you can do. The car basically came tuned from Nissan. Although it shares the same engine as the 300ZX, the car is much heavier and is tuned differently from the factory.

You can always try a Z32 TT swap.. its been done... You should also easily (i use that term loosely) be able to fit in a Z32 MT...

turbo.. i dont know.. not sure how the the j30 is set up... wes knows more.. it might be easier to do the z32TT swap.. then you dont have to worry about all the rest of the tuning for you motor.. already built for it.. then ready for tons of aftermarket to your liking

CNICKK'S J30 Advice...take it or leave it.

1st.....before you do any modification of any kind to your J30 you make damn sure its mechanically sound like the day it was born. (yes its a living breathing organism)

2nd....when you think it is at 100% check it again!

3rd.....only buy into effeciant and effective modifications! just because one person is thinking about a certain mod or has done a certain mod doesnt mean he/she was right.

4th....if this is your 1st car or if you are new to the tuner world then your way behind the curve. Learn what every bolt and part does and why its there because regardless of what you may here it was factory installed FOR A REASON! Nissan is not in the business of wasting money so learn your car.

5th....get a service manual and put it on your toliet seat! You will be amazed at your attachment to this manual and how much stronger this attachment becomes as your knowledge and curiosity grow.

6th.....the more details you put into your questions the more accurate your replies will be. I know it sounds like common sense, but trust me on this one more details=higher odds.

7th.... and last of cnickk's j30 advice. DRIVE DRIVE DRIVE. Learn how to drive that jcar in any condition at any speed at any time of day in any element and respect it! You can get seriously hurt in this hobby so your upgrades should stay parallel to its safty. My personal experiance so far is that you better become very aware of why this car does what it does when it does it especially in the rain.!!!!

Get ready to fall in love because this car is super fun to drive and addicting as crack i sware!!!!! Keep the respect!
