So here's the deal. Around three weeks ago, some dumb a** b**** runs into my dad's M3 head on. She was going the wrong way down the street, had no liscence, and no insurance. So the insurance company told us that they would cover the costs of the repairs and then go after her. The problem was that the insurance company wouldn't pay for us to get a rental car. So my dad had to rent a car by himself and renting the lowest model (A POS Sunfire) from Enteprise it still ran us $450 and change. So we took the car back because the M3 was supposedly ready to be picked up today. But it turns out they need a few more days. And it just so happens that the Enteprise near our house had no cars to rent. So on a whim my dad decides to call the BMW Store and ask if there was any way they could let us use one of their loaners for a few days. The guy on the phone says, "Sure" almost instantly. So basically these guys rock, and know how to take care of their customers. If you want good service, check out The BMW Store in Cincinnati.

I've noticed that BMW service tends to be either hit or miss. One dealer near here is consistantly terrible yet Autobahn BMW, barely 30 mins from the other dealer, seems to be top notch.

Sorry to hear about your dads ///M though.

Its the same up here, maybe its not manadatory for their service writers to take the customer service course that is required by Infiniti, Lexus and Acura.

In that case then I wish Nissan would send their employees through the Infiniti program. The Nissan dealer here is terrible.

I hear both good and bad about Nissan dealers. I've personally had extremely good experiences. No loaners...but that's not normal for "regular" level dealerships anyhow--it's a BMW, Infiniti, Cadillac, etc. thng. The fact that they pulled out a brand new, fresh, clean, CHROME set of wheels just to test fit on my car so I could buy the same wheels *from someone else* is proof that they're in it for the customers, not the instant cash.

Never dealt with a BMW dealer. Seems to me, if BMW holds themselves at a higher standard, the service should reflect that. Same with Infiniti, Lexus, Caddy, and all the rest. If they want to be a tier above, they need to show it in their customer service and representation.

It's really, REALLY nice when you get friendly, courteous, help that you never really expected. It makes even the most unpleasant experience more bearable.

Sucks about the M. Hopefully it gets sorted out.

And make the little s*** that hit it pay out the a** and ears and other orifices. Driving without license OR insurance in a car obviously not licensed to her is utterly inexcusable. People like that could cause more damage than they care to realize. Even if insurance DOES pay, I'd consider taking her or her parents (even moreseo the parents if she's under 21) to court. Not because I'm greedy and want money, but because this girl won't be punished by the law or her parents, and you know it. Make sure she pays...or she'll just do it again, and next time could end much worse. At least sue her for the costs of the rental car. Sorry, I hate to sound like a greedy, lawyer-happy ***hole, but that girl did something to hurt your father and his possession, and she's not going to end up paying for it. Injustice in the favor of the wrongdoer? Just not palatable to me I guess.

The Infiniti dealer I had a lot of problems with before (Plaza Motors) has improved tremendously over the past year. I like to convince myself that they improved customer service as a result of the letter I sent them.

We went to pick up the M3 yesterday, it looked sweet as hell. Honsestly it looks better then it did when it rolled off the truck. But on the way to work a stransmission sensor light went off, so now it's in the BMW store. I swear to god if one more thing happens to that car I'm going to explode.

It's out of the shop but my dad out of town and it's in the airport garage. Once it gets out I will take many pictures and will post them. I have a 8MP Canon SLR Rebel XT just itching to get some shots.
