Uhhh, the CA is slightly undersquare at 83x83.6, and the SR is perfectly square at 86x86

IDK about that site...I'm sick of people dogging the alloy block. What's the horsepower record for stock internal SRs these days? Like 500hp or something.

I agree on the rocker arm vs cam on bucket thing, but the KA has the same cam on bucket design except with solid lifters instead of hydryolic lifters, and solid are better for revving!

I prefer a timing chain. I've heard of too many cases of high hp motors on the stock replacement timing belt jumping teeth. I know I never have to worry about that unless I have a severe oil pressure problem or something.

I believe the CA is a good engine, I wouldn't buy one unless I was planning on rebuilding it, though. It's too old. I know one guy who's on his second CA and has had many reliability problems.

And I'll take those extra 200ccs from the SR.

Actually, I'll take the extra 600ccs and keep my KA!!! :ylsuper

Edit: Actually, if I had the money I would buy the up and coming RWD QR25DE block, build it up, throw on a Spec V head, and put that in my 240. That would kick ***.

Just caught this: "There are a number of simple bolt-on offerings here, from the simple T28 as fitted to the S13 SR20DET engine"

I'm pretty sure the s13 sr20 motor came with a t25, and the s14 came with a t25/t28, only the s15 came with a straight t28.

Yeah, but the second article was the one with all the holes in it.

I caught that over-square remark too, and the turbo size was incorrect too. Oh well it does have some good points in the first article about engine design.

Lol not liking to second article.. when he starts talking about the 8 port manifold on the ca... some the UK/aus ca's came with 4 port manifolds that had more torque and kick than the 8 ports. I remember people discussing this the other day saying it could be worthwhile to drop the jap version 8 port for the 4 port but hey... i dont care i like my ca :)
