All I saw in that video was your car steering around something all the while peglegging it.

Go buy a real diff.

Or at least sell that to some other idiot and buy an open then weld it.

Wow - you can tell by the context of your post you must not visit this site very much. Do you forget that 3/4 of the population of 240 owners don't have the money to afford some awesome differential. Apparently, as he states, he's still learning. Why buy some ungodly diff when he is "still learning."

Anyway - looks good man - for doing circles. Everyone has to start somewhere. I started playing around in a wet parking lot that was freshly paved going around a light pole. Not circles of course.

Just pick up the concept and you'll find your way picking it up in no time!

I'm sorry that 3/4 of the population can't control their spending habits.

A welded diff can be had for free-$100.

OP can sell that diff for $200.

So I don't see how he can't afford that.

A 2way can cost 1k new. I'm sure he can find a used one for almost half that.

Yes, he's learning. But there isn't anything to learn if you're pretty much understeering and peglegging in circles.

He SHOULD save his money and go to an open track day.

But let me guess, your guys next excuse is, "Why go to track when the streetZ are fre3~!".

Don't get angry at me because people halfass things.

Sloweighty is right though. He needs to clutchkick.

ya your j30 diff must be on its last leg, lol. mine lights up both tires when i do donuts.

and as far as a welded diff, in my eyes thats half assing it. it dangerous for a daily driver and will eat tires quick. ok for a drift car ya but i dont want some kid driving next to me in the rain with a welded diff.

looks like fun, i know everyone has to start somewhere. and to "CRyan" if the op lives somewhere like me, where there are NO tracks around for a good 300-400 miles then an open parking lot, in a secluded area away from any businesses or neighborhoods and what not, and go at it.

Trying to drift with an open diff and burning one tire up is halfassing it.

Of course a welded will kill tires. The WHOLE reason you install it is to DRIFT.

On a DD application, it doesn't really kill tires.

Honestly, a 2way puts the same amount of stress on tires as a welded.

The only reason a two way/welded is dangerous in the rain is because an open diff is more likely to hide poor driving skill.

But then again not everyone has acquired those skills yet.

So I'll agree to disagree.

well thanks for some nice feedback and some not nice feedback.

why do people always try to rag on someone for what they dont have.

-its a j30 and i thought they come less vicsous(sp) ? but i have an open diff. im not welding its not what i need here. rains too much.

also there arent any track near here for a couple hours. and yes i was clutch kicking the first time. did you not see my cars front end hopping. then when the last circle came in place no clutch kick bcuz it messes me up.

thanks.

no doubting you have a j30 diff. The thing with factory vlsd from nissan or anywhere really is that they can lose the limited slip effect. The viscous material breaks down over time and essentially becomes an open diff. That is why people are saying that your diff is on it's last leg. I still can't figure out why aftermarket lsd's are so high. the 4wd groups don't pay near that much for a diff. That's why I am still peglegging.
