Well from my sig you can see it holds 280whp. It really depends on how much it has been beaten on,how many miles on the transmission and how well you take care of the transmission. For starters a six puck is over kill unless you are making the kind of power I am. Anything less, there are several different clutch setups that can be used and less harsh on the transmission. I need more info on your setup and power output to really point you in the right direction.

A stock Bluebird motor could be handled by a stock clutch even, but the clutch won't last long. A full face, or if you have bigger plans, segmented Kevlar disc and HD pressure plate would do the trick easily. The transmission itself, as RED said, will do fine if well taken care of (good fluid, not powershifted, etc).

Now, if you're upping the boost quite a bit or adding a GT28 or larger and upping the boost, etc, then yes, it might become an issue.

If it's been beaten up pretty bad, upgrade while you're at it, but don't replace it if it's in good condition.
