Some alternator input please

asking a favor of everyone...

I found that after driving my car for about 30min if i touch the alternator it is extremly hot (would burn your hand if you were to hold for more than a few seconds) So if you could, please let me know if yours does the same, of course you can reach down a touch it just by opening the hood, it doesn't require much effort.

thank you...also please include in your response if you are running extra electrical equip. ie: electric fans, amplifiers, etc.
