Ok so my AC blows zero cold air, all diagnostics say the system is fine (auto climate control). When I turn the AC on, neither of the lines get cold/hot at all so I'm assuming there's no refrigerant left. Or the compressor clutch is bad?

Anyway, I plan on converting to r134 + doing a TT swap (in the future). Does anyone know for sure which AC lines I need to swap when going TT? I've done my research but no one seems to have a definite answer: do I need all TT AC lines or just the low pressure one? I already have a new TT condenser.

When going from r12 to r134, I plan on replacing all the fittings (obviously), the expansion valve, drier (accumulator), and all the o-rings. Am I missing anything else? Someone mentioned a pressure switch..

If anyone knows the answers to any of these questions, it would be greatly appreciated!

I was able to finesse NA lines to fit with the conversion and the condenser, just slow and small bends. All of them worked fine. You can swap the low pressure for a cleaner look, but the NA ones will work. Pressure switch would be beneficial, safety reasons, but was able to convert to 134a with no issues. I would find a way to make the electric fan to run while the ac is on, I did notice when at stops, it would get warmer. When I started driving, cooled right down, just not enough air moving through the condenser.

When you charge it, do about 15% less than the r12 states. Too much will blow it warm. I am sure your ac clutch is fine. Ad power to the wire and it will engage. If it doesn't, more than likely bad. Still more than likely the no refrigerant.

Thanks nissanfreak! Yeah the compressor for sure comes on when I turn the AC on so I wasn't too worried about it not working. Plus the line doesn't get cold whatsoever.

Is it just the low pressure line that you need to bend? Or the high pressure one too?

And thanks for the tip about how much to add!
