I'm trying to keep the original size due to the fact I had difficulty finding tires for 16" or 17". The tire size is 185/65/15 and I'd like to take the tires off the stock wheels and put them on the rims for now because it's cheaper, and I want to save as much money as possible. They're the Enkei PKRs...

How do you think they look?

They cost $138 dollars each on Discount Tire and I think they would look good on magnetic gray. Does anyone else here have aftermarket stock size rims?

Well broski I would be patient and just keep savin' for the 17's or 18's that you want. Don't just settle for the 15's because a set of new rubber is holding you back.

But if you decide to just stick with the 15's those look good

I agree with ATX, just save up for 17"s. It will be worth the wait. That is the same reason I haven't purchased new rims yet.

I've been thinking about the same thing. I'm kinda not sure where to go 15's,16's, or 17's inch rims. The 15's weigh the least and are cheapest. The 16's and 17's are heavier and require more money to purchase. Each one allows a different sized tire fit for what you are wanting. I don't know which size to go. I'm worried if I was to go 17's that I might rub now or later if I was to get lowering springs. I'm not sure if the 16's would improve performance and handling. Would the 15's look so small I wish I would have went 16's or 17's? I guess I hear you telling milehigh to go 17's or go home. Do you guys suggest 17's as the middle of line compared to 15's or 18's. Just wanting some advice so I don't have buyers remorse.

Many members have 17"s and lowered and don't rub. You'd start rubbing at 18" and I've heard it makes the ride very uncomfortable. To me 15"s aren't even worth the time or effort...and money. They just look weird unless it is an OEM rim. Too much sidewall for my taste with a "custom" rim.

17" rims seem to be the best size to go with on a V.

I have new un-touched 15" Motegi Traklites for sale since I'm selling my Versa. I'm not sure what you'd wanna spend though. But they do weigh only 10 pounds and I have the correct lugnuts for them. I got them for better acceleration, gas mileage, and a custom touch. I'm sure they would have looked nice if I was gonna keep the Versa and mount them. Having a bigger sidewall than 17s or 18s doesn't bother me one bit.

It's not so much the fact that the diameter of the tire causes the rub but more of the width and your offset. If I recall the max offset without rub is +42 but you can refer to the wheel and tire database we started (link is in my sig) and you can check out what a few of us other members have.

On the same note I do have 18's, I do have a bigger offset +45 and they do rub when the wheel is cranked. The ride is less than plush do to the lack of rubber on the wheels.

15 - 18" wheels are all do-able depending on what you want;

15" X 6.5" X 10 lbs. w/ 205x45x15" tires and a 38mm offset will give you the BEST performance boost for the dollar

18" X 7or 8" X 28 lbs. w/ 215x35x18" tires and a 45mm offset will give you the BEST bling boost for the dollar (and a BIG reduction in performance).

WHAT DO YOU Want
