I can assure you with some vaseline or white lithium grease it will slide over those hose barbs.

good find on the fitting. ive been using a brass tee with barbed fittings. this piece frees up 2 fitting that have potential to leak in the future...simpler solution. kudos

I got the gauge installed, didn't even used hose clamps on the gauge fitting since the hoses are on there so tight! I guess I need to use more teflon tape because I am leaking!!! fuel pressure is 42'ish psi, right?

You can use a quality pipe dope, look for something thats thick and white, nothing clumpy and dont go overboard with it.

Use them clamps. The hoses can eventually pop off when fuel pressure rises. You never know, but it can happen.

Next time I change the fuel filter I will put on some clamps, better safe than sorry. I'll keep an eye on it, not too worried about it though.

I put on even more of the teflon tape, but still leaked. I guess gasoline is too strong for it. Anyone use teflon tape successfully when installing their gauge?

Anyways, I'll go look for this pipe dope at the hardware store. I'll let you all know how it goes.

Yes, I put on clamps this time around.

I used teflon tape on my fuel pressure sensor and I don't leak. However I didn't use the summit stuff. I have a Prosport sender and this adapter, which is 5/16" outer diameter (correct size for our cars) and looks much nicer:

I originally tried this 3/8" OD adapter, but I didn't feel comfortable squeezing that through my fuel lines even after shaving down the beaded ends.

Couldn't find any of this "pipe dope" at the hardware store, but I did find this:

Want to get some feedback before I use this stuff.

yeah you can use that stuff, just use a tad man, a little goes a long ways, you dont want it smearing out into your fuel etc.

i'd rather have that fuel pressure gauge right next to the motor because if you're having fuel problems you're going to be under the hood trying to fix them, not looking at the dash wondering WTF.

i'm not happy at how its almost pinching the line, i think i'm going back and getting a 90 with a 1/8 fitting in the side.

Just put one on my stock KA, because I thought the pump was dying. Little wd40 and some time and the line went over the barbs just fine.

What is the F.P supposed to be right after the pump primes? 42 p.s.i, correct?

Bringing this back for a noob question...

I think I'm having fuel issues with my Teg. A hesitation thats getting worse every month it seems. Ive already changed the filter. I'm trying to follow the FSM to see if its a dying pump causing the problem.

I need a fuel gauge to check pressure, not one to permanently install. Every gauge Ive seen (Summit and AutoZone) have NPT fittings. THe Teg FSM says" remove 6mm service bolt and attach FP gauge". Does a FP gauge with this fitting exist or do I need a standard gauge with an adapter of some sort?

Anybody have experience with checking fuel pressure on a Honda?

I think you'll have to make an adapter. It would'nt be hard to make out of brass. You may be able to find something pre-made, but it may be a pain in the a**, look for 1/4 npt to 6mm x ?
