Since I built my Sr I had been having idle and hunting issues. Everything was done by the fsm, at least i thought. I finally purchased a wideband set-up from AEM which was telling me a couple different readings that seemed real odd. First it would idle real choppy and lean, and under boost it was running super rich. So today I went to test my CTS (came undone when dropping sub-frame the other day) and found it to be unplugged, car ran better but still had crap idle...so I decided to pull my CAS and rotate it one more tooth to the left, reset my TPS correctly then I plugged it back in and BAM car runs PERFECT. The only thing that get me confused is why my dots always lined up on my CAS, like shown in the fsm. Makes me wonder if the marks on my ATI damper were a hair off. I mean I had tried everything 30 times....cams at 10 and 12...20 links between marks...second hash-mark to left on crank pulley. I'm just glad its over now cause this thing is running as good as the first time I ever started it .....**I will add that I had to adjust my fpr to a setting above the stock 43psi to run my Emance tune properly...seems to be running a tad lean at cruise at about 15.5-16.5, but under full boost it is running around 13.5 and boosting real nice so I can't complain**

I apologize for my noobness but I'm trying to sort out idle issues as well.

Therefore could someone please explain what CTS and CAS stand for in relation to this subject? Thanks.

CTS: coolant temperature sensor ( refering to the one that sends signal to ecu )

CAS: Cam angle sensor

Did you check the TDC via the damper or manually through the cylinder? I'm having issues where my throttle response is horrible and if I rev the engine lightly it takes it quite a while to get back to idle. It idles just fine though at times it will stay perfectly at 850 but then drop randomly every now and then. How did your car run before you adjusted the CAS?

What do you have done to your SR? Hows the Emance tune treating you?

13.5 under full boost? That sounds lean. I always thought you wanted it at 11.5-12 under full boost.

set the Crankshaft pin at 12" and then set my cas..

everything except cams...the tune was flat and rich...

13.5 was a little lean, but I reset my TPS and got the car running correctly, then used a SAFCII for fine tuning the emance tune
