wow.

i was going to do a compression test to see if my piston rings were bad and pulled the 1st cylinder spark plug (which usually has the least wear) and there wasnt much fouling but if you look at the white area where the brand is it was like brown. I have no clue how old these were. so i pulled em all out and the 2nd wasnt as bad (these are NGKs) i get to the third and WOW. Autolite spark plug (wtf mate? 2 brands?) and it had a layer of buildup on it. and ofcourse the 4th was the worst. ran all around town looking for NGKs but had to settle with bosch platinum 2s which arent bad. put her back together and cranked her up. YAY no more 400 RPM idle, no more horrible throttle response, no more 110 hp, no more putting sound. it was pulling hard, responding quick, and sounding nice. i still get the smoke a bit when im accelerating but it doesnt smell like pure gas anymore either.

im learning to love this motor more and more

ack. i saw too many cars in the dealership run like **** on "recently installed" bosch plugs to ever consider running them in any of my Nissans. granted there's aways nay sayers, but good luck w/ it and good job fixing your issues.

yes, you should not run platinums in a turbo car. Cheap copper NGK's only. If you are having a tough time finding them locally, you can always get em through sparkplugs.com. But like Float said, Advance has 'em...that's where I get all mine. Usually about $1.50 each.
