Solutions to Lack of Storage Cubbies

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

Coming from a Honda, I am disappointed with the lack of storage cubbies around the driver's seat on our EX35. We're limited to that coin box (which for me doubles as a cell phone holder), cupholders, and that smallish console.

I did 2 things. First was to get my self a Thule trash bin to keep my car neat:

The second is to get myself a Thule Go Bin, which includes places for drinks, food, and theres an accordioon-file area for laptops, folders and papers. I keep this on the front seat. If I have passengers, I move it to the cargo area.

Id like to see what other people have done.

Great idea, Broudie.

Your garbage holder's looks pretty good! Does it get in the way at all for rear passengers? I've been using a plain ol' plastic bag hung from the passenger seatbelt buckle, which looks slightly ghetto...

I also use an after-market cargo organizer (low cost) below. Caveat is it doesn't stay exactly in place because of my rubber cargo mat (organizer uses velcro to stick to trunk carpet), but it sure beats everything sliding and rolling around in the trunk.http://www.amazon.com/Highland...uto_4

I moved the bulky cargo pouch, which contains the manuals, to the the spare tire cavity.

The lower part of the trash bin ends above the rear passenger's knees, so no real space is lost. As long as they don't realize it's for trash, then they're OK. When I'm alone, I flip it around to the front of the front passenger seat. It's a very safe trash bin, the large top opening flips up so its easy to dump your drinks, toll receipts, burger wrappers, etc. I believe it's around $10.

I think I have the exact same cargo organizer as yours in my Accord..

I hang 5-6 plastic bags on my shifter and when it gets full, bags pull the shifter to sport mode sometimes. Did i make sense?
