I sort of stumbled over this. I have to say that I have no connection, or any experience with this seller. BUT, considering what I had to pay for a new OEM dash at the dealer, this seems worth considering if your dash was damaged by the recall and denied by Infiniti. Thru all the posts and threads I do not recall seeing this option.

Ha! Maybe even me. I have a pending claim with a dealership here in St. Louis and it's been far too long (for my liking) waiting for an update from Infiniti corporate.

Thanks for sharing Larz.

Oh no! I just dropped my infiniti M35x off for this recall!

Do they really damage the dash when they install this?

Haha. Unfortunately & also fortunately I don't have to this time. The dealer ordered a new dash for me and will install it soon

I'm sorry to report that I have no choice but to remove Ed from my Christmas list.
Just kidding, way to go mate! You got Infiniti to actually care about an owner !
I paid over $2,000 for a new dash after my recall. Mine had slight cracks near the edges and air/con vents and they denied my claim.

my dashboard was eaten up by the sun and had cracks and rips in it, they did not even try to mess with it, they just ordered me a new dash and did the recall at the same time. I was shocked when the Infiniti dealership did not charge me for the new dash.

Larz, with the receipts you have, do you think you have any recourse?
I know it's been quite a while since you were among the pioneers to do something/anything about the cracked dashes. But now that they are honoring the replacements more willingly than the fights it took the first recall customers...

Honestly, this recall has been a godsend to a lot of us. Although my dash was impeccable before the recall work, I was in constant worry of when the cracks would start. Since the recall was almost guaranteed to initiate or propagate the cracks, I jumped at the opportunity to show the before and after pictures. Even if this new dash might eventually crack, replacing it will hit the reset button for another 15 or so years.
I have to tint the windows for better protection afterwards.

Funny you should say that, Ed. Fetucini got all my records together ... the receipt for the dash, the charge to install (even though the old dash would be re-installed for free, the new dash I paid for does not come with ancillary items - not even the bracket required to mount the new air bag so they felt the need to charge me for supplies and labor to prepare the new dash for the free air bag).
We included all the recall info, the letter from Infinity, and the record of my dealership stating that a new dash will NOT be provided if there is evidence of cracks or deterioration on the existing dash prior to removal.
I went one step further. I had lunch with my corporate lawyer who will have someone from his office include a letterhead communication demanding reimbursement based on non-consistent policies that resulted in significant costs to some owners of Infiniti vehicles while providing those same parts to other owners at no charge.
We're gonna give them a little 'how's yer mum' treatment

Coconut Creek dealer replaced it for free. When I brought the car in for the recall, Service guy congratulated me upfront for getting also getting a new dash.
