Afternoon, I have just put solid SPL bushings into my subframe no problem. When I try and put the subframe back in, they get hung up on the bottom bushing. I have jacked up the subframe itself and jumped on the bumper and still no luck. They are about 1 inch from seating properly. If anyone has any idea's please feel free.\

Thanks.

I just did SPL solid sub bushings last week. We had the car on jackstands and use a car jack to lift the subframe up to the studs, but they kept getting stuck. What we ended up doing was jacking up the car with the car jack, and taking the jack stands and putting them under the subframe. We slowly lowered the car down and lighed up the studs to the holes in the bushings. We made sure they were perfectly postioned, and very quickly droped the car onto the subframe so the entire weight of the car force the studs through the holes in the bushings. Worked perfectly!

When i did my solid subframe bushings i had a similiar problem i ended up putting the bolts on and tightening them which started to draw the subframe upwards and that worked out nicely

Hmm, see I was an idiot and didn't even test fit the bushings on the studs before destroying the stock ones. I will have to grease the crap out of the bushing and the stud and possibly even dry ice them.

Thanks for the input

Update: the subframe went right in after some "sanding" of the studs and lubing the snot out of them.

Thanks for the ideas from the posters above.
