*2002 pathfinder.

Looking for some insight on swapping out my transmission solenoids. I've been tackling this issue for a few days and a few trial and error attempts not sure what is happening so I'm hoping somebody can figure something out that I can't.

First question is on the spring positioning. According to this picture on the valve body, the front of the engine the first slot is left open with no spring it. However, on the service manuals and a tear down video there is, and all the springs are shifted towards the front of the engine leaving the rear one empty. Leaving the rear one empty, this is correct yes?

Second question is on the manual valve positioning, there's a nub on the manual plate, they slot into each other correct? It should look like this if I have it properly.

Third question is I bought this solenoid kit, https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.ph ... 1960&jsn=9
I believe if it the right one, but I'm not entirely sure, I couldn't find the exact part number off of the OEM one. There is also this one, which I believe might be correct.

Thanks for any insight. Appreciate it.

You've probably figured all this out by now given a month has passed since you posted your questions. You are correct about your first question. The picture incorrectly shows the accumulator piston springs sitting at positions A, B, and C with D not having one when in fact B, C, and D actually have springs and A (at the rear) does not. There is some confusion with your second question since you are asking about manual valve positioning and fitment but you're referencing a picture that shows the transmission filter mounting screws circled. I really have no idea what you're asking about here. The third question is straight forward but my answer may not be. The Rostra part (52-9038) you bought references an old Nissian part number 31940-41X09 which was replaced by 31940-41X13 which was intended for (per Nissan) '02 Pathfinders built from 01/2000 to 07/2001. Nissan indicates part number 31940-41X15 for '02 Pathfinders built from 08/2001 onward. The Pioneer part (771067) you indicated in the link indicates in their own website that it fits all '02 models built. Nissan made some kind or change. I'm guessing it might not make any difference in form, fit, or function though. I hope this all works out, or has already worked out, well for you.
