No, its not my new unit..:evilhaha.

I just love post apocalytptic games and this one seems to rock.

Best of all you are a German:D, with an American in a Russian bunker--real multicultural like.

And you get to scavenge and use all this cool Ex-Soviet equipment.:ak47

I like ex Soviet Equipment cuz its so "no frills" and non gold plated.I read the manual so far they seem reasonably accurate.

I'll keep you guys posted how it goes.

Fred...:eyecrazy

PS: To keep this on the subject of cars, you get to drive some russian jeeps and APC's among other things.

PC.I only play PC.

Better selection of the 2 genres of game I play, CPRG's and strategy, I tend to stay away from first person shooters like resident evil (even tho the original RE could be played as a CPRG which was kinda cool).

Anyone play Ghost Recon or any of the Rainbow Six series of games? I play First Person Shooter games for the PC. I have a PS2 but no offense to game consoles, their on-line play stinks.

my thoughts are completely oppositepc>ps2>xbox

pc is more powerfull and ALWAYS looks and plays better.PS2 is only listed as better because of the game selection.Xbox is obviously a bad *** platform but the games just aren't coming in. Except for that splinter cell, i want to try that, but i'm not going to buy the xbox for one game.

one of my favorite pc shooters was Dues Ex. It had a interesting feel about it. Sneaky yet you get to blow stuff up.

FPS suck on consoles! I can't stand them! Aiming should not be a chore!Tell us more about this game Fred, I'm having difficulty finding info on it (maybe cause of content...?).

Whats the story? What view is it played through? Is it online?

Ninja, Amen, FPS are much easier to aim on PCs. You have to be faster than the guy on the other end of the weapon. Soldiers of Anarchy is a game that takes assumes that WWI never ended and you are using modern day weapons and tactics to fight the conflict. I may pick it up, they had it at Best Buy for 38$ but I am sure its cheaper elsewhere

I just started playing it,

Its a third person shooter, tactical combat, not too shabby so far.I was hoping the CPRG element was stronger but its pretty small.

I mainly like the fact that it has so much russian equipment in it, I am a fan of WarPac gear.

their are somewhat accurate in it (well actually no mark of T55 hasn a 125mm main gun ) most problesm are minor and its fun to explore teh huge landscape.

but I prefer to have a free dialogue with option of mine to choose to inluence teh gameplay, but so far none.

I saw it in a store and went next day to buy it cuz I liekd the general plot.graphics are decent .

I must have read another game; Soldiers of Anarchy is a post apocalyptic game. Need to download the demo to see how it plays.

Yes its post-apokalytptic, my favorite genre.

but if you really want the BEST post-apokalyptic game buy FALLOUT 2 (in a jewel pack with fallout 1, for $10) former CPRG of the year 1998 (then it was $50).

review from a mag:"Fallout 2 has even improved on Fallout 1's absurdedly high standards."

its the best PC game I have EVER played.

go to their website and read.

It just rocks, its getting kinda hard to find copies with an owners manual, as they are pushing them mostly with jewel cases now.(the owners manual from FO 1 will work on FO 2 and vice versa the interface is that similar).

Fred,Man it is hard "breaking in" a new car like that. The manual says to keep it under 4k RPM for the first 1k miles. I try to warm the car up completely and let it cool down for 2min before I shut her off. I just can’t keep the thing from going over 4k RPM. What are your thoughts on how to break in a turbo?

I might wait to see what I get for Christmas. I may get GTA3 for PS2. If not, I will buy Soldiers of Anarchy. Would you be interested in gaming online?

Interesting thing I noticed.

They wrote the german and english part of the intro on the website with slighlty differnt contenbt to adjust for teh slightly differnt cultural outlook with regards to war between the 2 cultures. In the English version they emphasize the experince of being a hero and saving the wasteland ,in the german version they emphasize the opportunity to do good and influence things for a better furture.

The differnce is small but noticable, I think someone made a consious choice of writing them a little different and not just a translation of each other.

I think you are doing it just right.when starting a turbo during wear-in i would never wait less than 3 min before driving off.And 2-3 minutes before shut down.

Once driven in the two number can be 1 min wait each time.

Fred...:)

PS: I have never done online gaming ,but I am wiling to start if teh partner and game is right, we may have this combination if I like the game.:firedevil

Sure will! I am trying to get use to the All Wheel Drive.

We can either race at IRP (Indianapolis Raceway Park) or any location near LOUKY. If you (and anyone else) come up to Indy, Repoman and I will take you up to the Herot. The Herot is a bar that has an Old English theme to it. It serves the best beer selection I have ever seen.
