No more Nissan in the garage for now. The budget hassles took a huge toll on the private crossing guard company I work for and they cut supervisors to part-time. I'm allowed only 1.75 hours a day to handle staffing 53 intersections and do the payroll. The other 3 hours a day are going to actually be working as a crossing guard.
With unemployment so high in this area I haven't had an interview in months. The usual excuses. Overqualified, made too much at my last couple of jobs so they think I'll leave if things get better, uncertain economy, etc. etc.
In the meantime we have to cut everything we possibly can out of the monthly budget and the car had to go. Our other car is paid for and for the amount I drive the difference in gas mileage isn't going to kill us. Should save a little on insurance every month, too.
