Sold the S13....

Well I was at work the other day and an older hispanic guy pulls up in an '89 silvia. My brother that works with me told him that I've got a '92 hatch and that guy says that he is lookin' to buy one to drop an SR into. My brother ended up telling him (without me knowing) that I would take $600- $800 for it... kinda pissed me off!!! So now he offered me $600 for it without coming to look at it. He wants the title and keys Monday and he will bring me $600 cash. Should I sell it?

Depends on how much you think the car is worth. If the body & interior is in good condition and the car is not running, you can get more than $600.

yeah.. i want more than $600. Guys I really don't know what to do. I need someone to come sell if for me. Someone that knows what they are doing.

Why do you want to sell it? Anyway, if you're really serious about getting rid of it you could always post on the Buy/Sell/Trade forums here. Most folks here won't try to rip you off.

I REALLY don't wanna sell it. I wanna get an engine, but all the engines at the junk yards and stuff are too expensive for what you get. When I posted on Nissan240sx.org this guy was just giving me the run around about coming to get it so after that I decided not to sell it. It was a bunch of B.S.

So, you need a KA engine for the car? If so, you can post on the B/S/T to see if anyone in your area is selling a KA24DE. People frequently have them after they've swapped in their SR or whatever. Also, if there are any swaps that specialize in SR swaps around where you are you could ask them if they have any KA's yanked from customer cars that are in good condition.

didnt you just come to these boards all excited about your s13? your brother said it would be sold for 600 not you, keep it! Every one thinks your have to put in an SR so there should be hundreds of shunned KAs around somewere...keep looking for an engin. even if its like 500...500+600=1100= more then an s13 nowadays. Get it running, I saw pics of your car but i dont remember what it looked like but it wasnt a piece, so once it moves on its own power it will be a great slow car! these things really are fun...basicly tell the guy your brothers and idiot and you dont wanna get rid of it, cause you dont.

Tell your brother to eat his words and stop trying to sell your car. Then make him get ahold of the guy that wants to buy it and tell him that you're not selling and that he was wrong.

Well just to let everyone know I'm not selling my car. The guy would only do an open title and I wouldn't do it. So I told him that I wasn't gonna sell him the car. Aren't yall proud of me????

yeah, or perhaps check out the BST forum here....there's usually some KA's on there from people doing swaps...

you can probably find a DOHC pretty cheap...

I dont understand why you didnt tear you brother a new as shole for trying to sell your car out from under you.

I would wait for that buyer to come and and when he got on my lawn, i would c*** the shotgun back and say "what the hell are you doing on my land? You got three seconds..."
