Agreed. 120kmi on mine and haven't had any major issues and I bought it at 32kmi. Only thing 'bad' that happened was my bushing on my steering rack went but that was replaced under the Elite warranty. Engine and transmission both purr like they are brand new...then again, I am meticulous with my maintenance even if I do oil changes, etc. more often than needed.TXT wrote:I read up on this car before I bought it. Read up alot. Even after seeing the MPG and after the test drive...the MPG didn't matter. I pay to play. $60.00 a week x 4 = $240.00 a month on gas. I love to drive and I would really be miserable if I had to drive a car that was no fun and go to work. This car was/is perfect. The power, the space, the looks, electronics, the price, the low maintenance. The only downside is literally the MPG.....I have something to look forward to when I wake up in the morning....doesn't matter where or what my destination is, I always look forward to the drive...
Oh believe me...I've read up on it up and down as well. Ive owned a few V8s before this one, and while horrible around the town and city, they have all done well on the highway, cruise control, upwards of 25 mpg(Lexus Ls430, BMW 745i, Lexus GS400). Figured this would be the same or even close, not even close(18-19 mpg, best I got was 24 on a 4 hour trip). I rarely go with EPA, it varies on most carsTXT wrote:I read up on this car before I bought it. Read up alot. Even after seeing the MPG and after the test drive...the MPG didn't matter. quick turn around my friend...which model Lexus did you step into? I totally understand your point of the gas mileage on a V8, that's why I chose the V6 M when I was shopping between the two. I'm now parking my M35 for the weekends, since I just picked up a commuter car - 2014 Versa 4D (31/40 mpg)jallow33 wrote:Just wanted to say thanks to all the help on the Forums here, unfortunately I've sold my 06 M45
Decided going 280-300 miles avg on a full tank was not cutting it no more
Decided to jump back into a Lexus, although the Infiniti was a great car for the short 6 months I've owned it
May look into one again in the future, but this was a very nice car hands down
How old are you? 80? jkbicsintegra wrote:Damn my friend just sold his M45 for a BMW 745, he had a M6 but it was only getting 8-9 miles per gallon. I have a 06 M35 and I get about 325 miles city, but when I go out of town I get approx. 400 to the tank. Maybe get a M35 instead of the M45 in the future.
I wonder who the youngest M owner is here. I also just turned 26 this month. I normally get between 17-19 mpg on average in the 45' 75% highway.IlyaKol wrote:How old are you? 80? jkbicsintegra wrote:Damn my friend just sold his M45 for a BMW 745, he had a M6 but it was only getting 8-9 miles per gallon. I ask because, yes I have a somewhat heavy foot as a young guy (26), but I can't get more than 250 out of a tank...and that's in the city. You're getting almost 100 miles more than me so you must NEVER drive your car fast...

Good luck brotha and keep an eye out on the new M....that's what I'm waiting for....
lol between dodging those BK potholes , traffic on the Brooklyn Bridge, and all the stop and go on Atlantic, I already know the feeling. Got the RX400h?finikM35 wrote:Just sold mine a month ago was getting 220 miles per tankbut love the car and never once it broke down its just solid and built like a tank.
Got Lexus as well, hybrid V6 getting 400 miles from just 14 gallons feels great its an suv too love cargo space. But its not built as good as M Interior feels cheaper and paint is so soft lot of chips and scratches.
