SOLD AUTO transmission NOW BUYER SAYS DON'T WORK WHAT TO DO??

on friday i sold some guy the auto transmission our of my 93 240sx the transmission had about 100,000 miles on it sold it to him for $180 bucks. I was in working condition when i took it out for the 5 speed swap. Now i dunno what to do he just called me any ideas what could be the problem or is he just trying to trick me into giving him his money back an giving me one of his fVcked up transmission instead of mine or he messed up the transmission i sold him when he was installing it...........................................need guidence..............

if IT was honestly working when you pulled it out and you are 100% sure that nothing broke in between then you know its his fault but try to talk to him about the transmission before getting all suspicious. Be cooperative and always communicate...

You know him or stranger? Talk wiht him and go over to his house and at least look at it to see if it is something simple.

hes a stranger the transmission was working when i took it out about a 1 year ago. I told my uncle his a mechanic he said maybe they didn't connect the wiring were the shift thing goes cause the guy said he put his wiring harness cause the one the transmission had cut wired. he said it didn't have first gear. and it wouldn't downshift. i think maybe something is stuck inside cause i had the transmission outside.

This is the same reason why motorsets are guarenteed the way they are, its used, and if it doesnt work, chances are its the installers fault and not the product's.
