just buy the ams rebuild kit with their rods and pistons. Great deal and you get everything you need.

I was thinking of just putting in the turbo and getting the basic setup that has 180whp.... i have a turbo and manifold already..i wanted to know what are the chances of me messing up the engine with that type of power w/o changing the internals

If the engine is on good condition then you can make some pretty good power on stock internals.

EVERYONE will tell you that tuning it VERY important for the safety of your motor. Concentrate alot more on the tuning part of the setup and you will be happy with the results.

FYI: there is a ka-t member making 357HP on stock internals with a damn good tuning setup. http://www.ka-t.org/cory.php

also as far as using stock internals with a turbo set up, what wasnt said and is actually common sense is your engine would be fine as long as you dont put alot of boost to it, you say u want 180hp so im assuming your gonna run 5-7psi of boost which is fine on stock internals.

what kind of a setup/parts you think your gonna be using for your car btw??
