so i recently bought a 240sx that someone had begun a swap on, and now I'm finishing.... and he cut the harness and rewired it but never finished. i read about it and its supposed to have some wires left over... well i have 8 wires left over and the gauge cluster doesn't work at all, i know i have to put in a dohc cluster, but shouldn't it only be the tach not working? if any of you have done the swap any info would be appreciated.

Thanks

Have you wired up the wires that come up from the ECU harness to the dash harness? These go to the cluster and the ignition switch, ect. Match them up color to color (IIRC). I swapped a DOHC body wiring harness into my 90 SOHC body and had to rewire that plug to make the cluster work.

ya i did all that, same colors to each other and those were the extras. i was just wondering if those are the right ones and i dont need to maybe hook them up somewhere else? because its deffinately not working and the brake and seatbelt lights stay on even with the key out of the ignition.... so im not sure if theres maybe a bigger wireing problem?
