Which wiring harness(s) will I need from the DOHC donor car? I have what I would assume was the upper harness, that plugs into the ecu/injectors/sensors on the motor, but the plug that comes off the ECU that I assume goes to the gauge cluster doesn't match my twin cam harness? Do I have to pull the dashes out and get the DOHC dash harness?

No you dont have to switch the wireing harness thats under the dash. Just the gauge cluster. You just need that harness that goes from the ecu and plugs all over the engine(the upper harness the one that you got). You dont need the lower harness ether.

But the other wires that come from the ECU/Harness on the interior do not match where they are intended to plug in, what do I do about them then?

OK let me know if you get this you have 2 harnesses your new one and your old one(old being89-90 and new being91-93). OK you cut the last plug off your old harness the one right pass the ecu its the very last one. That last plug is the one that plugs into your body harness. Now cut the last plug off your new harness. Then get the old plug and match the same color wires to your new harness (were you cut that plug off of). Use ether a sodier or buttconnectors(even though alot of people dont like them).

Alright sounds pretty simple, the wires that don't have a match, I just crimp off?

Yeap the ones that are left are for if you have a check engine light then you can go get it checked and they can tell you whats wrong. So if you get a check engine light you wont be able to tell what code its throwing. The only way to still be able to check codes is if you get all the wireing under the dash and swap it. Its really just not worth it to me at lease.

I know this topic is old but...

Will you still be able to see a check engine light if you swap plugs? Or will it just not let you use the Consult tool...
