What is the timing like on the motor? and yeah, close up any leaks you might have.

sorry i havent answered back been busy but i havent closedmy leak completely but i did mess with the timing just really guessing and the motor runs alot better now idles ok and has a lot of pull but i have another downpipe that i can cut the air pump tube out and really get a good weld on it but im scared to take mine off because its so old im afraid the studs and bolts are gonna break on the manifold and thats the last thing i want..... any suggestions? other than rust inhibitor?
