ok so the car is working but theres no power unless im WOT

chassis 89 hatch
motor 93 hatch

things i've done

egr block
evap canister removal
reverse light wired up
tps is good
cleaned maf
new plugs/wires/cap/rotor

every wire has a home except one plug from the alternator/starter wire set from the 93 motor. its a 2 wire female plug with yellow red and yellow blue wires. could this be the reason for now power?

there is a plug that looks like 2 black wires and isnt connected. but this plug is also female. this wire is on the fuse box side. factory zip tied to the AC filter.

hopefully you guys can help.
thanks for any help

update* 1/22/12
on the freeway 4th and 5th gear have no power. not even with the pedal to the floor (1-3 seems to work fine when to the floor).
put in new gas and no real improvement.

ok. it seems this is the OD position switch. is there a difference in the wiring colors between the years for a 5 spd transmission?

does this have to be wired?

so this OD position switch is the same as the 5th gear sensor right? from what i've read, it doesnt have to be wired.

but why the power loss? im confused!

you wont need the od switch. you wont need anything hooked up to the transmission except the reverse switch and speedo. on the lower harness you will need to hook up the two wires to the starter; you will need the plug, positive, and ground line to the alternator; and the oil pressure sensor. now that thats out of the way, have you checked the ecu for codes? have you checked your timing? did you change your fuel filter?

btw, im driving the exact same swap, no emiss, no problems! you should get this sorted shortly.

i did the starter wire bypass thing. the only conclusion i've come to is that the gas must be older than i thought. several months old from what im told.

but timing is good. tps sensor is good.

the fuel filter will get changed probably tomorrow. my friend already came to pick up the car.
