So I have an auto s13 chassis. Dropped my ca18det all good. Can anyone forward me to a wiring guide? Also since it was auto the only change is to jump the neutral switch, correct? So the engine can get power and crank?

I used this guide to wire mine. I would recommend a Wiring Specialties Harness though. Spend the money and save the headache. It fits fairly nice as well.

You also have to connect two wires down by the shifter I believe to bypass the shift interlock IIRC

If I remember right, the wiring is the same, yes.

The only difference between the CA swap and an SR swap is the knock sensor. On the SR, the knock sensor wiring goes through the main engine harness. The same is true for the KA. On the CA, for whatever wierd reason I don't understand, Nissan put the knock sensor wiring through the lower/transmission harness. This then connected to the body harness, and then connected to the engine harness. If you don't wire the knock sensor into the engine harness, the ECU sees that, and runs the conservative knock map.

The other option is to buy a brand new PnP harness from Wiring Specialties. This resolves this issue as their harness includes the knock sensor plug in the main engine harness.

The Wiring Specialties harness fit pretty nice. The only thing I don't like is where you have to mount things like the dropping resistor and the ignitor, and that the grommet around the harness that goes into the firewall is already torn and junk on mine.. Other than that it works amazing.
