sohc running funky need help

ok so my 240 with the sohc (little sh*t). so when i start my car in the morning and step on the gas and hold it at 1500rpms it will stutter then drop to about 1000rpms and then go up and keep doing this till the motor is warm(needle in middle of dash gauge) it is impossible to drive it like this and its very rough on the old motor so then ill turn it off wait a second then turn it back on when it warm and itll drive ok but feels like it has no power what so ever. it seems like is stumbles every couple hundred or so rpms. i can really feel it do this when im getting on the freeway and cruizing about 65 then trying to speed up wont go anywere in 5th liek i used to

over the past month or so that this has been gonig on ive replaced and/or clean mafs, tps adjusted to .489 closed, cap, rotor, plugs and wires, fuel filter z32, fixed the timing to stock, fuel pump, upgraded alternator to quest just because

so yeha really need help with this its my dd right now and its killing me with gas so if anyone has ideas that would be great or if i missed something you guys need to know just ask

Cleaned the maf, ayyy? Try a different one, also tray a new TPS. It could also be a lazy o2 sensor.

yeah i went up to feltons nissan infiniti and when i was there went threw 3 mafs and all had the same outcome. ran the same. car was warm do to the 45 mins drive but still had the same slite hesitation to it i havent changed the o2 yet hopefully that will help it you think i could clean it with some carb cleaner or mafs cleaner or something to see if it helps?

when you say you rev it to 1500 then it drops to 1000, is the drop while still revving or is that your idle? If thats your idle then your timings off which could cause the rough engine idle and maybe the lack of power, also check for vacuum leaks. I just fixed 2 vacuum leaks this afternoon and it really smoothed out my idle the engine shook a lot and would cut out when put into gear.

no its not my idle when i first start my car in the morning and its cold it idles about 750 then when it is warm it idles around 1000 to 1200rpm. i step on the pedal to rev it and hold my foot steady then the idle will stumble. my timing is perfect ive set it to stock time 15deg and ive rchecked it about 3 times wile ive been trying to figure this problem out.
