so I replaced the head gasket, timing got messed up. Re timed it and wouldn't start. When I try to start it sounds like the chain is gettin cought or something. It also backfired anyone help! I have also searched a lot can't find my answer

You probably bent a valve. Take it off and do it again.

ouch. Definately look under the VC. Sure you timed it right? You bought new OEM bolts for the timing guide and tension too right?

Did you try turning it over by hand before you attempted starting it? If you bent a valve your going to have to pull the head and replace it, which sounds like you did. Sorry prez brobama. lol
