SOHC KA oil pressure issues... need help

Ok, so originally I intended to fix a gasket leak between the oil pump and the block on a 95' Nissan Pickup truck. Well, I get the truck back today and now it idles weird. The car will idle and almost stall out over and over again in neutral. I just pulled the oil pump off of the truck again.. Should I replace the oil pump? would that fix the problem? The motor isn't knocking or making any noises, however I heard that SOHC KA's are known for oil pressure issues at idle.. I need some advice

The oil pump isnt going to cause you to have any idle issue unless the motor is about to seize..
