My friend has a '83 ford ranger rwd that currently is powerd by a 2.3 peice of poo. I was pondering to put a ka24e and to give it some nissan power. What mods do you guys think would need to be made to make this ludacris idea work?

Custom drive shaftCustom mountsGauge cluster swap will be easiest with stock wiring harnesscut the firewall/frame to fit the transmission so that the shifter will be in the same location Basically rebuild the stock engine….way easier and cheaper

Be cheaper and easier to swap in a 305 or 350. Atleast they make parts for that :-P.

Depending you might be able to hook up transmission to driveshaft. But then you got to see where the shifter would be(most likely wrong)Simple tape measure can tell you. Then you got to make the motor mounts or some kind of support.Probably won't have A/C or power steering. Then you get to wire everything. It' a waste IMO.Unless it was turboed or built then put in a V8 or rebuild it and turbo
