hey guys i have a small problem and some of u guys might know or had this problem. I had an 89 sohc ka, the motor and transmission were solid so i pulled them and put them into a 91 that had a good body. problem is, is that the 91 had been a dohc and stupidity got the best of me bc i didnt take the interior harness from the sohc, i just plugged the engine harness from the sohc to the dohc thinking it would work. well the problem is that the gauge cluster doesnt work, like the clock in the middle turns on and the high beam signal light turns on but no tac, mph, gas, temp, nothing else turns on. its the same cluster from the 89 car and everything worked before the swap. car runs fine, just gauges not working right. any way to help me out? or ideas what to do? wishing itd be a simple fix but guessing its going to be a b**** like every electrical problem. so if u guys could help me out id appreciate it ALOTTTT :dblthumb:

I cant solve your problem but i can maybe help point you in the right direction.
the twin cam and single cam get there rpm readings from different sources its a little tricky cause i know when you go from sohc to dohc you need to rewire your gauge cluster to the ignition coil wiring. Idk how to apply this to dohc to sohc but its better than nothing sorry
