So my Ka ticks.. LOUD, and itsa not the timing chain OR the bottom end because this is on a 2k mile engine that i replaced damn near everything on (the only area i didnt make sre EVERYTHING was perfect was the rocker arms/lifters.. the whole timing assembly is brand new) ad they are currently pissing me off.. I have the internet manual, but i cant seem to find ANYWHERE that explains how to bleed these lifters.. and if you have that page, plz scan the complete thing, including how (if possible) to remove the lifter from the rocker arm itself..

the way to pump up the sohc lifters is to hold the motor around 2000-2500 rpm for about 20 to 30 minutes lifter noise will go away then if not then you have some ones that need replacing. You should have done this when you broke your new motor in hold the rpm's up i mean.

did you soak the ocker shafts and rockers? I have seen alot of sohc where the oil ports were sludged up, even inside the rockershafts. im not sure, it was along time ago but i think we were ab le to take the lifter/plunger apart and but it back together though it is a replace only part.
