Will I run into any problems with a DOHC block with my SOHC head?

You can put a DOHC head on an SOHC block without any modification, so I imagine you could do it the other way around. My question is why would you bother? The DOHC block doesn't really have any advantage over the SOHC one, so even if you like the SOHC head for some reason, there's really no point.

I agree with Insanity. It should be OK, but seriously, what's the point? Do you have a bad DOHC head and a spare SOHC head lying around? I was under the impression that the two blocks were the same anyways...
