SOHC growls when accelerating

Hey, my brother's 240 makes a hell of a lotta noise when he's trying to accelerate, it sounds like the fan is working in overdrive or something, but then again it could be the belts, but we're not exactly sure, any ideas? thanks

If it sounds like the fan, whhhhhhhrrrrrrr, like a damn truck. It's probably the fan clutch. Lose the mechanical fan alltogether, you can get an electric one and thermostat for less than 100 bucks.

a used a/c condensor fan will work= cheap as hell, a lot cheaper than buying a fan clutch., i have one if you need one though

lose the clutch fan, goto the junkyard, and buy the dual fans from an altima. wire em up either on a switch or always on with ignition(recommended)
