Okay the price is alright, but too much for a log style (they just suck). The SS is a bonus, but expensive. I also know those flanges can be $$$ unless you found a good cheap machinist to cut a number of them. My 2 cents.....If I could get $350 for a log manifold I'd quit my job and build one a day and make enough to move to Hawaii. And we all know the cost of turboing this engine just doesn't seem reasonable for the power you get, at least to most of us. But if you build them I don't doubt they'll sell. Try ceramic coated mild steel and cut the price almost in half. This is my first visit to this section so sorry if it's all been said before. Justin

you can make some serious power with a log style manifold, and considering jgs's mild steel manifold is $250 and you still have to pay to have the turbo flange welded if you can't do it yourself, $350 for a fully assembled stainless steel mani is a VERY good price.

Is this jgs manifold SS? If not someone of us better hop on this asap and build these things for half the cost. I'm serious. I'm gonna go check out these jgs manifolds...I can do this. Flange cost: roughly $25 each after prototype made (3 necessary), Mandrel bends: about $30-45. Total cost $125. 1 hour labor. Not sure about the wastegate flange.....I'll be back....

IT'S PIPE?! Thick, yes, durable, yes, hmm....but how the hell can you do this on the ka24e flanges? I need some pics. I need to see this done so if you know of any SOHC log manifold pics send 'em my way! (I do think the rounded turbo flange adapter is a great product)

JGS tools sells unassembled manifolds for 150, so thats only 25 more than your estimate for parts. And try finding someone to do all that welding for under 100, for the quality they give you. If you can do it yourself for less, fine, but a lot of us can't.Remember that these are businesses... they pay employees to make these manifolds, so you are talking about more than just the materials. As is, the sohc can always use another manifold. I'd be intersted if the price was lower, the quality was right, and the fit was spot on...

But pipe fittings? That lowers the cost even more. You're right about everyone can't do this at home, but I'm serious even more... I still can't find a single pic of the SOHC, and after searching the web for 30 minutes "30 years of experience" later all the welds on most (not all) custom manifolds just don't look like they spend time on the appearance and quality. I'm not knocking these, especially the cost of the dohc equal length, I'm not saying SOHC logs can be done for less, but I think it can. But I still can't find pics of how the "log" will work on the SOHC flanges. Sorry to get off the original subject about SS manifolds. I'll go do some research and homework! And apparantly logs don't suck, but the heat and flow is inadequete compared to a "header", but the price and durability is a definite compromise. Justin

Holy thread jack batman!

Justin we will be using better quality materials in our manifolds compaired to JGS. This includes stainless steel and thicker runners to further resist cracking and heat stress.

We made the manifold on my boss's turbo integra that put down 300+ hp @ the wheels and it held up for nearly a year before the car was stolen.

Hmm...You can justify the HUGE power gains on the sohc vs. the dohc? I didn't think so either. It's been proven that a soch can do just as much as the dohc. Only advantage I see is 10 more (or close) hp and a little more tuning with 2 cams vs. 1. Ok, Nismo, assuming this manifold will put the turbo on top I think you will sell them. For $350 I'll take one. Thanks- Brandon

Okay I don't want to ruin the question at hand, the demand for a SS SOHC turbo manifold. Basically there is short supply of these, and SS is expensive, so of cours the $$ is higher. Not everyone does metal work or welding to build their own. I apologize for offending the businesses who supply these, if it works and holds up then by all means buy it....

I will be needing a an exhaust manifold for my SOHC soon. It would be nice if everything was angled correctly.

the problem many will have with a log manifold on the sohc will be clearance with the hood. and it will also have to be angled away from the master cyl. good luck

not true. the sohc is no different in positioning than the dohc. the jgs and realnissan.com's manifold both clear the hood and master cylinder with no problems.

no. the realnissan manifold clears the master but not the hood. at least not with my t3/t04e. i had to put spacers on the hood hinges and cut out the underbracing and it still comes in contact every once in a while. and u cant use a strut bar up front with out some modifications. i dont know about the jgs mani. though but i could see it having the same problems. thanx
