Seeing as I haven't completed my swap I'm just going on what I've read in this forum. Meaning a search will tell you what I am about to.

It's not really easier to swap a sr20det into the ka24de. The advantage is that you have the parts necessary to do the swap. If you are swapping into a ka24e then you will need the power steering lines from a ka24de. If you plan on keeping air conditioning then you'll need an ac compressor from a dohc. You'll also want to get the tach from the dohc seeing as the red line is more accurate than the sohc.

I may be missing some of the other things, but that's the gist.

You don't need a compressor from a dohc, bus you need to make a bracket for the sohc one...i thought you dd for the dohc compressor as well?

91+ 240's also have a hole pre-cast in the unibody for the stock SR SMIC piping.

So, 91+ 240's technically make it easier to swap but in my opinion you are better off chosing what ever car you can find in the best condition.

oh well thats not really a mechanical problem then... i meant physically harder to swap thats just all minor things that can be solved even with a sohc engine then.

if you want a good SOHC swap story, go scour sportcompactcarweb.com in their engine swap section for the 240SX hybrid how to. all the stupid issues, aside from tachometer, are covered in it.

SCC has a ton of project cars. I never knew they had a Z32 or a B14 200sx with a GA

Hey vboyq, there's a really nice (looking) s13 for sale in Lake Worth. It's that nice grey color...body looks AWESOME. It's sitting outside off of Hypoluxo just west of Jog. If you want, I'll take down the number and find out if it's a 5-speed for you.

I've been eyeing it for myself but since I just put in new Tein tie rods and control arms w/ bushings along with my other mods, I really don't want to switch cars and start over. It would be nice to see this one fall into the hands of an enthusiast. Let me know!:)

No just buy a E motor for like $150, then have it completely built for the amount your going to spend on that SR swap, then change the motors out with almost no downtime :pface

Hey, sorry for the late reply. I didn't get the info yesterday...I went to see 'The Last Samurai' last night (awesome btw).

I'll get the number and all the info I can for you today.

Also, check out this 89 in FL...looks super clean and the seller is on NICO. Here's the thread.;)

just more parts availability, iim more familiar with it cuz i been lookin into the research for like a year now, and i like the higher revs. It may not have as much torque as the KA but the torque is good for a 2.0, at least enough to satisfy me

Also, I think he's gone one of the blue interior cars...fugly if it is.

Mine's doo-doo brown.

I wish I waited to find a black/grey interior. :(

I'll get the info tonight, no problem.

Here's the guys phone number 561-436-2706

The car is the cleanest (body) s13 I've ever seen. No sunroof, grey/black int, no rust, very very nice.

There was no price on the car.

Bad news (always is, right), it's an auto. I know you don't want to complicate your swap any, so maybe this isn't the car for you. I will tell you though, there are many many 5-speed s13's in junk yards all around WPB, so getting the auto-manual swap parts should be easy.

I'll keep my eye out for any more. Good luck.
