Anyone confirm that SOHC throttle cable will allow the car to drive? Read that it will only go half throttle though. Having trouble sourcing it.Anything needed to be done to the SOHC transmission before going on the DOHC engine? Read somehwere abou a speed sensor or replacing plugs but can't find it no more....I'll have probably 50 pics of the swap for anyone else's future reference.

It takes alot more than a throttle cable to allow the car to drive.

WTF are you saying by that? If your not goign to help the thread then get the h3ll out of here.I've replaced this engine once, And I've gone through countless nightmares on my ka24det in my other car. I've done more engine swaps in the past year than oil changes.I've just never done sohc to dohc. You think spark, fuel, and air would help the engine run???? What about timing, no need for that to be right eh?

Edit: I needed a sohc head badly, so I posted my info... But I grabbed a clean yard one today.
