im in the process of putting my dohc auto into a blown 89 with a 5 speed, and i need some help with the clutch.id like to replace the clutch (when i post a pic of the old engine, youll see why) and i want the exedy one found here:http://www2.nisspartswholesale...h+Kitor here?:http://www2.nisspartswholesale...h+Kitthis is the problem. i dont know which one to order, as ive been told the transmission is the same, so common sense points me towards the dohc side. two of the part numbers are the same, its the third one that throws me off.anywayany help will be much appreciated.

The only thing that could make a difference is the flywheel that you use, but I've seen both a stock SOHC and a stock DOHC flywheel and they look very similar.. I however have never done a side-by-side comparison. My point is if you're using a flywheel from a DOHC, it'd be a safer bet to get a DOHC clutch. Likewise for the SOHC flywheel. Someone may be able to chime in with personal expirence or a side-by-side of them both but I'm pretty sure they are the same all around. If you look on Ebay, some people sell 89-98 compatible clutches, some 89-94 clutches, and some that only work on 89-90 and 95-98. Go figure.
