are sohc & dohc connecting rods the same? am wondering as i might be using sohc rods in my dohc ka.(my ka24de has spun bearing, probably a bad connecting rod, i got some pistons/rods from a sohc motor(8.6:1 comp ratio in sohc, 10.x:1 on dohc), i was wondering if i could use those.(i know i can use the pistons, but what about the rods?, looks like they're the same to me)

I dont know why it would be but Ive heard that the de rods are stronger than the E rods. You might have issues with pressed in wrist pins .....sorry, I have a bad memory.

If you spun a bearing you need to pull the crank and get it reground and polished before you put new bearings in there or your just gonna spin it again

i know that, thing is sometimes the bearings can get welded to the connecting rods so just incase i will have to use sohc rods, thats why am wondering if they are the same or not.

IIRC the e and de rods are the same. The ka24e from the hardbody truck was the only engine that used press fit pins.
