i tried searching.. i found 1 thread with the same question but no one had responded

my question is1. all ka24 blocks , regardless if its from 89-98 are the same?2. if so could you just put a DOHC head on to a block that is originally a SOHC? or vice versa? is it as simple as just swapping them out?

thanks

1. engine code is the same KA24 yes, KA24e is from 89-90 SOHC and from 91 - 98 its KA24DEand the bottom block is the same....comppression is a different story....

2. its easier to swap the motor than to convert it...well actually its a border line question...for most its easier to just swap the whole bloody thing out...some take the roue of combining it...ususally an E block with 91 head since i believe the 91 cams were considered the best...howw i dont knoe... its just from wut ive herd
