as title says.

are single cam ka crankshafts the same as a dual cam ka's?

i member hearing the blocks are the same but i wanna know if the crankshafts are.

my dilema is i need a new one for my dohc, and i only have a sohc i can tear apart.

i looked up part places and the part numbers seem the same but not too sure. i really just dont wanna risk any more problems that i have already.

any idea?

The blocks are the same except for pistons squirters and the oil pickup location so i would assume that they are the same.

come to think of it the de oil pump is driven off the front cover while the e is driven off the distributor shaft. The dizzy shaft on the e is driven off the crank as well but i dont know if the gear on the crack is the same for the de. What keys are you talking about? The keys that help align the crank pulley and what not.
