SOHC Coolant in oil...but not overheating

Information on the naturally-aspirated KA24E and KA24DE engines.

Dont think its my headgasket but what else could it be? Ive heard that a bad tchain cover can also cause this. Any suggestions?

it can be the liquid gasket failing where the water pump is in the timing cover. hole in right side of this picture is where coolant flows. if sealant fails , coolant goes into oil

Thanks, i'm replacing the tchain (rattle) and i make sure I handle that
