did some searching on here and google also but still couldn't find a direct answer.

I'll probably get owned for this.

I have a 90 240sx that I just swapped in a SR20. Of corse the tach doesn't work. I know that I have to swap to a dohc cluster. My questions are:

1. Should I buy the JDM cluster or USD cluster?is it plug and play or is there wiring still needed?

2. When I swap the clusters what about the mileage on your original cluster? what happens for inspections or when you fill out for a new registration card?

pretty sure the jdm cluster would work but it would be kph. i have a 90 with an sr too, im planing on buying the individual tach from a 91 cluster off ebay, its like 20 bucks.

so basicallyjdm = kphusdm = mphboth would work, yes its plug and play, and you only need the individual gauge, not the whole cluster.

hope this helps

cool that's what I thought with the clusters. I saw the post about how to put the cluster in if you already have the HUD but I don't.

you could just replace the tach with with a dohc one. its just three screws in the back and it comes out.
