I live in Saskatchewan, Canada, for all you that don't know where that is, it is above north dakota. I want to get my cam ground, but the local speed shop says they dont have a master to grind from, does anybondy know of any good cams from a popular company. It is a royal pain for me to find 240 parts in this area. 240's are a rare bird around here

PDM racing offers a good regrind program. You can either be charged a $500 core charge that's refunded when they get your cams, or if you don't want to pay the core charge they have a 2-day turnaround policy.

And about the mom's car thing, that changes the more you post here.

yeah man you SHOULD go with pdm. Their cams are great for both sohc and dohc engines, but i think they are regrinds and you might have to mill the cam towers down at a shop (i cant remember if thats true or not...oh well). Check it out though, they really are sweeet cams with a very streetable powerband.

I think JWT has the best grind for the SOHC.

Well i have the JWT cam, but i have yet to be able to drive my car, and its off of a fresh rebuild, so i really couldnt say how good it is. but i do know its not a regrind, and you dont have to have any machine work done for it.

Hey is that JWT cam made to be run with turbo? I also built my engine with beefed up internals and headwork to run turbo but I am still using the stock camshaft because I couldn't find a suitable camshaft to run with my application. Is that cam designed for a turbo application or a mild N/A engine? Please let me know I am very interested.

Thanks :)

Well all i can go off is what JWT told me. I asked about it and they said it was good for NA, and also worked well with Turbo. as for what that means i dont know, maybe it will do only slightly better for turbo, and good for NA, or good for turbo, and only mild for NA. best thing to do is call them, mainly because they dont answer there email. Sorry for the lack of a good answer, but its all i know.

Joe
